The Web Market is the hosting service of Arpent Design (Arpent Creative Design). We are responsible for personal information used to handle enquiries, client accounts, support and billing. Contact us through our client portal, call 07572 797531, or write to 41 Foord Road, Lenham, Kent ME17 2QN.
Information we use and why
When you enquire or become a client, we use the contact, account, service and billing details you provide, correspondence, order and payment records, and technical information needed to run and protect the service. Technical records can include IP addresses, access logs, domain details and service activity.
We use information to respond to enquiries, supply and administer hosting, send service notices and invoices, provide support, and prevent misuse. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract and performing that contract; meeting legal obligations such as accounting; and our legitimate interests in running a secure service, responding to business enquiries and resolving disputes. Where consent is required, including for optional marketing or non-essential tracking, we will ask for it. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Please provide the details needed to administer your service. Without them we may be unable to answer an enquiry or fulfil an order. Do not send passwords or payment-card details in an ordinary enquiry.
Hosting, billing and payment providers
The underlying hosting infrastructure is supplied by Krystal. We use WHMCS for the client portal, billing and support, and the payment services offered at checkout to process payments. Relevant service providers receive only the information needed for their role. Payment information is handled through the existing billing portal and its selected payment provider; this marketing website does not collect payment-card details.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, to professional advisers where necessary, or to protect the service against abuse. Information is not provided to others for their unrelated marketing.
Where a supplier needs to process information outside the UK, applicable transfer safeguards must be in place. Contact us for details of the suppliers and safeguards relevant to your service.
Information you host
You are responsible for personal information you place in your website, databases or email. When we process that content on your instructions to provide hosting, you normally act as controller and we act as processor. Please contact us to agree the necessary data-processing terms before hosting personal data that requires them. Do not assume a public marketing privacy notice replaces those terms.
How long we keep information
We keep account and service information while it is needed to provide the service. After a service ends, we retain records only for relevant accounting and legal obligations, security, complaint handling or resolving disputes. Enquiries that do not become orders are kept only while needed to handle the enquiry and reasonable follow-up. Hosted content and backups follow the applicable service and backup retention arrangements; ask us before cancellation if you need an export or restoration. Cancellation is not a substitute for keeping your own copy.
Cookies and this website
The new Web Market marketing pages do not include advertising trackers or an analytics service. The separate client portal uses cookies and similar technical information needed for functions such as signing in, maintaining a session and handling a shopping cart. External sites and payment providers have their own notices. We will update this notice and provide any required choices before introducing optional tracking on these marketing pages.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access or correct your information, request erasure or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy. Some records must be retained where the law requires it. Contact us using the details above to make a request or raise a concern.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how personal information is handled. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
We will update this notice when our handling of information changes. The date above identifies this version.
